Akamai's Enterprise Operations team is looking for Systems Support Engineer. Who is responsible for operational support of Enterprise Applications and delivering IT Support Services effectively and efficiently.
As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting database applications to help manage large, multi-terabyte databases on Oracle, memSQL and MySQL.
- Monitoring performance metrics to optimize, tune & administer Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Participating in security related vulnerability scanning remediation activities.
- Supporting deployments and ad-hoc database related requests.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have working knowledge of Oracle database architecture and internals.
- Have working knowledge of / exposure to Oracle EBS and CRM applications; proficiency in MS Office, Visio
- Have good exposure to Oracle database tools (AWR, ASMCMD, SRVCTL, CRSCTL)
- Have Proficiency with Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster) and Backup and recovery tool RMAN
- Able to Understand SQL query execution plan.
- Experience working in 24/5 (in rotational shift) and on call operations.
- Have Good communication skills, especially with verbal and written English. 16. Capable of multitasking.
- Experience with Linux/Unix command line and command-line tools
